Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India this Court prays to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and dispose of petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2017 addressed to the respondent collector within a reasonable time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

(Order of the Court was delivered by R.Subbiah, J.) Reference may be made to the order, dated 03.01.2018. On the said date, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Therefore, this Court directed the Office to list the matter on 04.01.2018. Thereafter, the matter was adjourned on two occasions i.e., 17.01.2018 and 09.02.2018, to enable the respondents for filing counter affidavit. Subsequently, when the matter was taken up for hearing on 23.02.2018, again, there was no representation for the petitioner, however, this Court, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

in order to give one more opportunity to the petitioner, directed the Office to list the matter under the caption "For Dismissal" on 23.02.2018 (Today). Even today, when the matter was taken up at the forenoon session, i.e., at 10.30 a.m, there was no representation, and hence, the matter has been passed over and taken up at 11.30 a.m., but, again there is no representation for the petitioner.

2. Thus, it appears that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the case any further. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed for non prosecution. No costs.
