Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to pay two increments and other monetary benefits to the petitioners for the two years training period in the post held by the petitioners herein as on G.O.(Ms.) No.164 Rural Development (E4) Department dated 30.7.1992 continuously up to the date of retirement of the petitioners and consequently take into account the said two increments and other monetary benefits in the pensionary and retirement benefits and in the monthly pension of the petitioners and pay all the monetary and other attendant benefits to the petitioners within a stipulated time.

ORDER

Though the prayer made in the writ petition is a wider one, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners would be satisfied if their respective representations dated 10.1.2015 for grant of two increments for the two years training period undergone by them as Rural Welfare Officers Grade II is considered in the light of the judgment of this Court dated 8.9.2014 in W.P.No.11428 of 2014 within a stipulated period. However, no acknowledgment for the representations is enclosed in the typed set of papers.

2. Heard Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. In these circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of permitting the petitioners to make fresh representations to the 1st respondent and the 1st respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law and in the light of the judgment of this Court referred to above within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the representations. However, there is no order as to costs.
