O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to pay the petitioner the amount payable towards the encashment of 60 days of earned leaves surrendered by him in the years before his retirement, as admitted by the respondent in the RTI information dated 11.02.2025 either based on his monthly wages of the respective months of surrender of those earned leaves, together with 18% interest p.a. from the respective due dates or based on the monthly wages payable on the month of his retirement, together with 18% interest from the date of his retirement.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent would pay the eligible amount to the petitioner with interest @ 6% p.a.

3. The respondent may examine the Service Register of the 2/4

petitioner and examine the eligible amount payable to him and pay the same with 6% interest p.a. from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursement. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
