This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioner for selection to the post of District Educational Officer in Tamil Nadu School Educational Service pursuant to Advertisement No 684, Notification No 5/ 2024 dated 23.04.2024 issued by the 4th respondent and consequently permit the petitioner to participate in the Main Examination and proceed with the selection process by accepting the Experience certificate submitted by the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Honble Court.

ORDER
This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioner for selection to the post of District Educational Officer in Tamil Nadu School Educational Service pursuant to Advertisement No 684, Notification No 5/ 2024 dated 23.04.2024 issued by the 4th respondent and consequently permit the petitioner to participate in the Main Examination and proceed with the selection process by accepting the
Experience certificate submitted by the petitioner."
2. The petitioner was working as a B.T. Assistant (History) in a Government Aided School since 22.10.2010 and possesses the required educational qualifications including M.A. (History) and B.Ed. The respondent department issued a Notification No.5/2024 dated 23.04.2024 inviting applications for recruitment to the post of District Educational Officer under Group I-C Service.
3. The petitioner, having more than 12 years of teaching experience and possessing the required qualifications, applied under the Teachers Category and successfully cleared the Preliminary Examination. During the document re-upload process for the Main Examination, due to technical limitation in the TNPSC portal, the petitioner was unable to select the actual year of appointment (2010) and was compelled to select the year 2012.
4. Though the petitioner uploaded the Experience Certificate showing more than 13 years of service, the TNPSC rejected his candidature stating that the Experience Certificate was not accepted by the
Expert Committee. The petitioner submitted a representation seeking redressal, but no response was received. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioner's representation has not been considered to date, a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 18-03-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order KAN
