2.This writ petition has been filed to direct respondents 1 and 2 to issue patta in favour of the petitioners for the property, morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, based on the petitioners' representation dated 28.11.2024, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 3.Earlier, the land acquisition proceedings were initiated in respect of the land belonging to the petitioners as well as others. Admittedly, the land acquisition proceedings were quashed by orders passed by this Court. In view of the same, the petitioners now seek for re-conveyance of the land in their favour. The petitioners had given a representation on 28.11.2024 for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioners have filed this writ petition.
4.Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
5.The petitioners have filed supporting documents along with this writ petition in support of their request for re-conveyance of the property, morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition in their favour and also for grant of patta. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the same.
6.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioners' representation, as stated supra, is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioners as well as the orders passed by this court quashing the land acquisition proceedings, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 7.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' representation.
8.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioners' representation dated 28.11.2024 seeking for re-conveyance of the property, morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, in favour of the petitioners and for grant of patta in their name for the said property, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioners, which includes the orders passed by this court quashing the
land acquisition proceedings, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
