PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to give a patta in favour of the petitioner for the plot bearing Plot Nos.42 & 43 comprised in Patta No.533, Survey No.215/1A1B, measuring an extent of 4800sq.ft. situated at 'Illieedu Village', Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District now Chengalpet District.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to issue a patta in favour of the petitioner for the plot bearing Plot Nos.42 & 43 comprised in Patta No.533, Survey No.215/1A1B, measuring an extent of 4800sq.ft. situated at 'Illieedu Village', Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District now Chengalpet District.

Today, when the matter is listed under the caption 'for issuance of patta', learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that, pursuant to the order of this Court dated 06.06.2022, the petitioner's representation for issuance of patta was considered and the same was rejected on the ground of variation in Survey Number, vide proceedings dated 18.06.2022 in Na.Ka.No.3305/2022/M2 and the same has been served to the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner also ratifies the submission made by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents, no further adjudication is required in the present Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. However, the petitioner is at liberty to workout his remedy in the manner known to law.
