O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to provide Police protection to the petitioner from the second respondent at the time of harvest.

2. Heard Mr.M.K.Bhoopathy Rajan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent. There is no appearance for the second respondent.

3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has given a complaint, dated 12/4/2022, with all necessary

documents to provide Police protection at the time of harvest, but the first respondent Police is not taking any action.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that on receipt of the petitioner's complaint, they have issued CSR No.216 of 2022 and the same is pending.

5. In such a view of the matter, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent Police to enquire the complaint of the petitioner, and dispose of the same, in accordance with law.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the first respondent Police to enquire the complaint of the petitioner, dated 12/4/2022 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law.
