Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to direct the 2nd respondent to preserve the C.C.T.V footage dated 14.10.2024 around 7.00 P.M. to 9.00 P.M. in the premises of the 2nd respondent.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to preserve the CCTV footage dated 14.10.2024 around 7.00 P.M. to 9.00 P.M. recorded within the premises of the 2nd respondent.

2. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the CCTV footage is retained only for a period of one month, after which it is automatically overwritten and becomes unavailable. As such, the CCTV footage dated 14.10.2024 is no longer available.

3. In view of the above submission, the relief sought for in this petition cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
