..Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to make necessary corrections in the online Patta, and issue the Patta for the property in Survey No.98/1 (Part), Palavakkam Village (Now Sholinganallur Taluk), Kancheepuram District, measuring an extent of 9096 sq. feet or thereabout, together with building and a well, along with undivided half (1/2) share in common passage measuring 1570 sq.ft. or thereabouts, situated within the sub registration district of Neelankarai and registration district of Kancheepuram for

the extent of 8.80 Ares belonging to the petitioner, as recommended by the third respondent in his report Na.Ka.4315/2020/M2 dated 04.11.2022 to the second respondent.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to rectify the online patta for the property morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition based on the various representations given by the petitioner, which includes the last representation dated 16.12.2025.

According to the petitioner, though the manual patta for the subject property issued in petitioner's favour discloses an extent of 8.80 Ares, in the online patta, erroneously, the extent of the land has been wrongly mentioned as 3.30 Ares. The petitioner has filed supporting documents along with this writ petition in support of his contention that arbitrarily and erroneously, in the online patta, the extent of the land has been mentioned as 3.30 Ares instead of 8.80 Ares. The petitioner seeks for correction of the same by the second respondent and he had given several representations and the last such representation given by him was on 16.12.2025. Since the representations have

not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the representations of the petitioner seeking for correction of extent of the land disclosed in the online patta is being considered by the respondents as seen from the proceedings of the third respondent recommending the case of the petitioner.

5. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representations.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 16.12.2025 seeking for correction in the online patta for the subject property by correctly disclosing the extent of land as 8.80 Ares instead of 3.30 Ares after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
