Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2023 sent for shifting the Paddy Procurement Center in S.F.No.6 situate at Vilagam Village, Thirukkalukundram Taluk, Chengalpet District (classified as "Vaikkal" in the Revenue Records) to some other place in the same village.

ORDER
(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.K.Govi Ganesan, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, taking notice on behalf of the respondents.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and villagers sent representations to the authorities to shift the paddy procurement centre from S.F.No.6, as the same is classified as "Vaikkal" in the revenue records. According to learned counsel, the said representation has not been considered in proper perspective.
3. Learned State Government Pleader submits that the paddy procurement centre, as mentioned by the petitioner, functioned on temporary basis in Survey No.5/2 to an extent of 05537 sq.mtrs. in the land classified as "Grama Natham" and in New Survey No.5/1 (Old Survey No.5/28A) to an extent of 00868 sq.mtrs. in the land classified as "Paathai" from 17.3.2023 to 17.5.2023, up to the completion of the harvest season.
4. It is further submitted by learned State Government Pleader that the paddy procurement centre is not being shifted to Survey No.6.
5. In the light of the statement made by learned State Government Pleader that the paddy procurement centre is not being shifted to Survey No.6, no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There will be no order as to costs.
