PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 02.08.2019 pending on the file of the respondent within a stipulated time frame as prescribed by this Court and pass orders.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 02.08.2019 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the subject property originally belonged to his grandfather and after his lifetime, the property vested in favour of his wife and in favour of the father of the petitioner by virtue of a Settlement Deed. After their demise, the petitioner is claiming to be an absolute owner of the property.

3.The petitioner made a representation to the Tahsildar, Hosur Taluk seeking for patta. The Tahsildar, by proceeding dated 22.07.2019, rejected the claim made by the petitioner. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent on 02.08.2019. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent has not taken up the appeal till date. Therefore, left with no other option, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking for appropriate direction. 4.Heard Mr.R.Jayaprakash, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent.

5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the appeal filed by the petitioner on 02.08.2019 strictly in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with a copy of the appeal dated 02.08.2019 and also a copy of this order.

6.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
