Common Praying W.P.Nos.14158 to 14163 of 2017: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the claim of the Petitioner dated 02.05.2017 and to issue No Objection Certificate in the form of Declaration that the lands at Survey Nos.483, 485 and 486 of Mogappair Village measuring about 3998 sq. ft.4502 Sq.ft, 4365 Sq.ft, 6280 Sq.ft, 7919 Sq.ft, and 5155 Sq.ft are not covered under the land acquisition proceedings and issue no objection certificate. COMMON ORDER The petitioners made representations on 02.05.2017 seeking No Objection Certificate on the premise that the writ petition filed by the vendor, challenging the acquisition proceedings, was allowed, as confirmed by the Apex Court. Since the said representations are still pending consideration, the present writ petitions have been filed.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.
3.Considering the submission made by the learned senior counsel for the petitioners that the pending representations may be directed to disposed of, a direction is issued to the second respondent to be consider the representations of the petitioners dated 02.05.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitions are disposed of accordingly. No costs.
