Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to consider the representation dated 27.01.2025 sent by petitioner to the respondents to rectify the error in the death certificate of Mr.P.Rajamani (issued vide proceeding No. D4726171956/2014) with respect to the name of the father of the deceased, which is wrongly mentioned as Mr.Baskar instead of Mr.Ponnusamy and to issue a corrected death certificate of deceased Mr.P.Rajamani within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court. ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.01.2025.

2. Upon hearing the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondent corporation and perusing the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, the grievance of the petitioner is that the father of the petitioner, P.Rajamani, died on 20.11.2014. While entering the particulars, the father's name of the deceased, P.Rajamani, was mentioned as Baskar. Baskar is actually the son of P.Rajamani. The father's name of P.Rajamani is Ponnusamy. This was a genuine mistake that occurred while filling up the particulars.

3. In view thereof, the respondents is directed to take up the representation of the petitioner dated 27.01.2025 and since it is a genuine mistake, the respondents shall correct the mistake and upload the corrected order. The said exercise shall be carried out within a period of eight weeks 2/4

from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order. No costs.
