Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to grant subsidy for Gas Cylinder to the petitioner's Bank Account due from January 2017 to as of now and further, directing the respondent to credit the subsidy to the petitioner's bank account in future without fail, by disposing of the petitioner's representation pending on the file of the respondent within a stipulated period.

Mr.M.Vijayan O R D E R Mr.M.Vijayan, learned counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, this main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondent herein to grant subsidy for Gas Cylinder to his Bank Account due from January 2017 till date and further, directing the respondent to credit the subsidy to the petitioner's bank account in future without fail, based on his representation dated 11.01.2019.

3. According to the petitioner, he is one of the customers of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited. It is stated that the petitioner was getting subsidy for gas cylinder till the end of 2016. It is further stated that the petitioner has not received any subsidy from the year 2017 onwards. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 11.01.2019, requesting the respondent to credit arrears of subsidy from January 2017 till date and further requesting to credit subsidy to his account in future without fail.

4. Mr.M.Vijayan, learned counsel, who takes notice for the respondent submitted that the petitioner's representation will be considered by the Deputy General Manager (LPG), Chennai Regional Office, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited.

5. In view of the above undertaking given by the learned counsel for the respondent, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the said official to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.01.2019 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
