This Criminal Original Petition has been filed challenging the docket order dated 13.03.2025 passed in Spl.S.C.No.50 of 2024 by the Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Nagapattinam.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is seen that the petitioner is an accused in Spl.S.C.No.50 of 2024 and is facing trial under the POCSO Act. After the examination of P.W.1 in chief, the petitioner, without cross examining the P.W.1, sought a copy of the statement recorded from the victim under Section 183(6)(a) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. It was rightly returned by the Trial Court, since the petitioner is only entitled to perusal of judgment and not entitled to cross examine at this stage. The petitioner ought to have cross examined P.W.1 after the chief examination.

4. In view of the above, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the docket order dated 13.03.2025 passed in Spl.S.C.No.50 of

2024 by the Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Nagapattinam. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
