ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 2 nd respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.03.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.

According to the petitioner, he and his brother had purchased the property in the year 1977, through a registered Sale deed and have been in possession and enjoyment of the subject property, more fully disclosed in the prayer to the writ petition. Therefore, according to the petitioner, they are entitled to the issuance of patta. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 04.03.2026 before the respondents seeking for grant of patta under Section 10(3) of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation seeking for grant of patta is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of all the necessary parties, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.

This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation, dated 04.03.2026 seeking for grant of patta under Section 10(3) of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act, for the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of all the necessary parties, within a period of twelve
