ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give a adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members based on his representation dated 19.09.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The petitioner is constructing house on his own land. However, a portion of the construction has allegedly encroached upon Government Poromboke land, due to which, the villagers are objecting the same. Now, the petitioner sought for police protection to construct his house.

4. In view of the above, the petitioner ought to have approached the civil Court for appropriate relief, if the petitioner has really title over the property. That apart, the police protection cannot be granted for construction of house in the petitioner's property.

5. In view of the above, the direction sought for in this petition cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
