The petitioner who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences publishable under Sections 294(b),324, 448 and 506(ii) of IPC r/w Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Women Harassment Act in Crime No.83 of 2023 seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that there was a wordy quarrel between the petitioner and the defacto complainant, due to which the petitioner attacked the defacto complainant and caused head injuries to her. Hence the case.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that injured has been discharged from hospital. Hence, he sought for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate states that the petitioner 1/3

brutally attacked the victim and caused severe head injuries to him, due to which the victim is still taking treatment as out patient in the hospital. Therefore, he vehemently opposed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5.Taking into consideration the submission made by the learned Government Advocate and the petitioner has committed very serious offence and the victims have sustained grievous injuries, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
