The Contempt Petition has been filed for non-compliance of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.138 of 2022 dated 06.01.2022. 2.

Ms.V.Nagammal, WSSI 16620, E3 Teynampet Police Station is present before this Court.

The petitioner herein, earlier filed Crl.O.P.No.138 of 2022 before this Court, seeking to register his complaint dated 08.11.2021. The respondent-police admitted that C.S.R.No.515 of 2021 has been assigned and enquiry was in progress and the dispute is between the petitioner and G.Prema, Venkatesh and Karthick. Thereafter, this Court by order dated 06.01.2022 directed the respondent-police to file a final report or closure report within a period of four weeks. The petitioner thereafter heard nothing from the respondent-police and his attempts went in vain. Hence, pre-contempt notice was issued on 25.02.2022 and thereafter, this Court order was not complied with, hence, the petitioner has filed the above contempt petition.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that after the direction of this Court, the said Prema and other tenants were called for enquiry. The tenants Prema and one Devi now vacated the premises after receiving the lease amount. Thereafter, the vacant possession has been handed over to the petitioner on 19.01.2023. Therefore, the order has been complied with and nothing survives in the above petition.
