With consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The writ petition is filed questioning the suspension order dated 23.03.2015 issued by the Co-operative Society.

3. It is well settled that the writ petition is not maintainable against a Co-operative Society in view of the judgment reported in 2006(4) CTC 689 (K.Marappan vs. Deputy Registrar of Co-operative https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Societies, Namakkal Circle, Namakkal). Hence, I am not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed. However, this order will not preclude the petitioner to approach the revisional authority under section 153 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
