ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to grant police protection for surveying and erecting a fence around his land, based on his complaint dated 12.10.2025.

2. The petitioner owns property in Survey No.44/3, 44/1B, 44/4, measuring a total extent of 0.84 cents. In order to survey the said land, the petitioner paid the necessary fees to the Revenue Officials and the Surveyor on 11.10.2025. Upon verification of the documents and petitioner's entitlement, a surveyor was deputed on the same day. However, obstructions were created by the respondents 2 to 7 to survey the land. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 12.10.2025. Though the respondent Police assigned CSR.No.1216 of 2025, no further action has been taken. Hence, the petitioner seeks Police protection to survey the land.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that if the petitioner appears before the respondent Police and submits necessary documents along with the survey order, required Police protection will be provided. He further submitted that if any unlawful obstruction is found, the same would be removed.

4. Considering the facts and the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to appear before the respondent Police on 09.04.2026 along with the necessary documents. Thereafter, the first respondent Police shall enquire into whether any obstruction has been caused by the respondents 2 to 7. If such obstruction is found to be unreasonable, the respondent Police shall give adequate Police protection to enable the Surveyor to survey the petitioner's land and for fencing the same.
