This petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in C.C No. 315 of 2021 on the file of the II Additional Special Court, EC & NDPS act, Chennai.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the respondent police recovered 150 kgs of Ganja from the dicky of the car bearing Reg. No. AP. 31 CY 4599 and the petitioner was the driver of the said car. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has driving the said car but he was not aware about what was inside the dicky. Further, he submits that the petitioner has been inside the jail for more than three years and also there is no bad antecedents against the petitioner. He prays to allow this petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submits that 130 kgs of Ganja has been recovered from the said car.

5. Considering the fact that more than 130 kgs of Ganja has been recovered from the vehicle. On seeing the gravity of the offence, this court is not inclined to allow this petition. However, the petitioner was under the custody for more than 3 years and also there is no progress in trial. Hence, the Trial Court is directed to complete the Trial within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed.
