PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioners in Survey Number. 98/1A3 based on the registered Will in Document No.86/2019 dated 14.08.2019 on the file of Sub-Registrar Joint-II, Tiruvanamalai, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.01.2026 within a time frame fixed by this Court. O R D E R

W.M.P.No.13930 of 2026 filed seeking permission to the petitioners to join together and file a single writ petition is ordered. 2.This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 4th respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioners for the property morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition. The petitioners have filed supporting documents along with this Writ Petition in support of their representation seeking for grant of patta in the name of the petitioners. 3.Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.At the outset, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioners will have to submit an online application with the 4th respondent for the grant of patta to enable the 4th respondent to consider the said request on merits and in accordance with law. 5.Learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions, would submit that the petitioners are willing to submit a fresh online application with the 4th respondent.

6.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if a direction is issued to the 4th respondent to consider the petitioners' application seeking for grant of patta for the subject property on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioners and after hearing all the necessary parties, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' representation.

7.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the petitioners to submit a fresh online application with the 4th respondent, seeking for grant of patta in favour of the petitioners for the subject property

along with supporting documents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said application within stipulated time, the 4th respondent shall pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the said application after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioners and after hearing all the necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
