This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to direct the first respondent to defreeze the petitioner's saving bank account bearing Nos.416993315 & 419387108 having at Indian Bank, MGR Nagar Branch, Chennai.
2. The petitioner is having account with the second respondent. The petitioner involved in Crime No.89 of 2024 and arrayed as A7 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120(B) of IPC on the file of the first respondent.
3. Now the investigation is still pending and as such, on the request made by the first respondent, the second respondent freezed the accounts of the petitioner.
4. In view of the above, the direction sought for in this petition cannot be considered.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
6. However, the first respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
