ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.03.2026 .

2. The petitioner is currently working as a Conductor in the second respondent Branch. Since he was suffering from Lumbar Disc Prolapse, he submitted a leave letter on 16.02.2026 seeking medical leave for the period from 13.02.2026 to 23.04.2026 based on the doctor's recommendation. However, instead of sanctioning medical leave, the respondents marked his attendance as "absent". Hence, he submitted a representation dated 04.03.2026 requesting the respondents to treat the said period of absence as medical leave. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.03.2026 seeking to treat the period from

13.02.2026 to 23.04.2026 as medical leave and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
