Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.12.2017 and permit the petitioner to transport the processed and filtered sand and silicon from the petitioner's stockyards, comprised in S.No.215/2, situated at Nallur Village, Chennai-600 052, to the place of the petitioner's purchaser's destination without insisting the petitioner and the petitioner's customers to obtain Transport permit. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. Since the issue involved in this case is squarely covered by an order already passed in WP(MD)No.20020 of 2017 dated 29.11.2017, wherein an elaborate order was passed by issuing certain general directions to the authorities concerned in respect of sand mining / quarrying activities in the State of Tamil Nadu. The said order is still in force and therefore, the petitioner cannot seek any further direction as sought for in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

this writ petition, as it is for the authorities to comply with the said order by following the general directions issued therein.

3. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to issue any mandamus as sought for in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
