This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the second respondent to take over the investigation in Crime No.344 of 2015 on the file of the Poonamallee Police Station.

2. Heard Mr.A.M.Rahamath Ali, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that the petitioner is accused in Crime No.344 of 2015 on the file of T-12, Poonamallee Police Station, Chennai, in connection with some fraud that had taken place in the office of the Employees' Provident Fund.

4. Mr.A.M.Rahamath Ali, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the local police have no jurisdiction to investigate the offence and that it should be transferred to the Central Bureau of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Investigation. This Court is unable to countenance this submission, in view of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in A.C.Sharma Vs. Delhi Administration [AIR 1973 SC 913].
