Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents.

2.The petitioner was working as Tahsildar in Salem Taluk. A charge memorandum dated 28.03.2006, was issued to the petitioner under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules. According to the petitioner, the enquiry was over https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and the Enquiry Officer also submitted his report long back in the year 2010 itself. It is also stated that the petitioner gave his remarks on the findings of the Enquiry Officer in the year 2013. However, no final order is passed on the disciplinary proceeding. Hence, a direction is sought for by the petitioner to pass final orders in the disciplinary proceeding pending against him. 3.In these circumstances, the first respondent is directed to pass final order in the disciplinary proceeding pending against the petitioner relating to charge memorandum dated 28.03.2006, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
