Respondents in all WPs Petitions filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st, 2nd & 3rd respondents to act upon the representation issued on behalf of the petitioner dated 16.02.2016 and 12.03.2016 and 11.3.2016 and consequently direct the issuance of Autorickshaw permits for the petitioners in accordance with law.

For Petitioner : Mr.T.Gowthaman (in all W.Ps) For Respondents : Mr.M.S.Ramesh, (in all W.Ps) Additional Government Pleader C O M M O N O R D E R The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petitions to issue writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to act upon the representations issued on behalf of the petitioners dated 16.02.2016 and 12.03.2016 and consequently, to direct the issuance of Autorickshaw permits for the petitioners in accordance with law.

2.In identical matters in W.P.Nos.12435 of 2016 etc., batch dated 04.04.2016, this Court directed the 2nd respondent to receive the applications of the petitioners and consider the same and pass appropriate orders on the respective applications of the petitioners for grant of Autorickshaw permits, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

3.Mr.M.S.Ramesh, learned Additional Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners' applications in accordance with law.

4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioners, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to receive the applications of the petitioners and consider the same and pass appropriate orders on the respective applications of the petitioners for grant of Autorickshaw permits, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of submission of the applications by the petitioners. The petitioners are directed to submit their applications within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With these observations, all the Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
