O.S. No.26 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Principal District Judge, Chengalpet, is a suit for specific performance laid by the respondent herein. The commencement of its trial is stated to have been halted by the pendency of certain C.R.P. No.2017 of 2016 and the same came to be disposed of only on 26.02.2021.

2. Since the suit is about eight years old, now the trial court, is required to expedite the trial and dispose of the same, within a period of four months, at any rate, not later than September, 2022.

3. The civil revision petition is disposed of accordingly. However, there is no order as to costs.
