ORDER

This writ petition is filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.11.2024 and take appropriate steps to include her name in her husband's death certificate vide Registration Number D-2024:33-10704-000015 dated 13.02.2024 within a time frame prescribed by this Court.

2. The limited grievance expressed in the writ petition is that, originally when the death certificate was issued in respect of the death of the petitioner's husband, namely Sampath, no entry was made in the column relating to the name of the wife. This omission occurred only due to an oversight and the particulars were not furnished.

3. In view of the innocuous prayer made and after hearing the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent, I am of the view that the petitioner's prayer can be granted.

4. In view thereof, this writ petition is allowed on the following terms:- (i) The respondent shall take up the petitioner's representation dated 19.11.2024 and include the petitioner's name in the appropriate column as the wife of the deceased, late Sampath, and upload the updated certificate. A copy of the updated certificate shall also be issued to the petitioner. (ii) The said exercise shall be completed within eight weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order.
