This Application has been filed, seeking permission to utilize Rs.11,75,000/- (Rupees Eleven Lakh Seventy Five Only) from the funds of Madras Ordinance Pensioned Luscars Charities trust of FY 2018-2019 for entrusting the construction and completion work of ground floor RCC Class Room building to Gandhi Kamala Nehru Higher Secondary School at Kooteripattu Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District to the construction company namely T. Sampath, Thulasi Builders, No. 28, Perumal Koil Street, Tindivanam, Villupuram - 604 001.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Administrator General and Official Trustee (AG & OT) has submitted that the trust estate of Madras Ordinance Pensioned Luscars Charities is being administered by the Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu as per the orders of this Court dated 01.08.1941. He has further submitted that a Government Higher Secondary School, namely, Gandhi Kamala Nehru Higher Secondary School at Kooteripattu Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District requested for additional donation of Rs.11,75,000/- over and above the amount of Rs.20,00,000/- already granted to erect 32 pillars to construct new class rooms, S.VAIDYANATHAN,J.

A.No.2185 of 2023 ar pursuant to which, the Engineer of the AG&OT inspected the construction and found that the number of pillars (9) erected is insufficient. He has also submitted that for erection of extra pillars, an additional amount of Rs.11,75,000/- has to be incurred in addition to the grant of Rs.20,00,000/- and the Engineer of AG&OT has recommended for donation of the balance amount of Rs.11,75,000/- as requested by the School Head Master to complete the work. Therefore, learned AG&OT has prayed for release of the balance amount of Rs.11,75,000/-, stating that sufficient amount is available in the trust estate for disbursement to the construction company.

Taking into account the averments raised in the affidavit filed in support of the application, this Application is allowed and permission is granted to the learned AG&OT to release the additional amount of Rs.11,75,000/- to the concerned construction company from and out of the funds of Madras Ordinance Pensioned Luscars Charities.
