Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment made by 8th respondent/water canal situated in Survey No. 420/7 and 402/9 of Thirumanam Village Panchayat in Ponnamallee Taluk, Thiruvallur District. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Dr.R.Sampath Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader for respondent Nos.1 to 4 and 6 and Mr.A.Anandan, learned Government Advocate for respondent Nos.5 and 7.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that survey would be conducted within a period of four months from today and if encroachment is noticed upon survey, further steps, in accordance with law, would be undertaken immediately to remove the encroachments.

3. In view of the aforesaid submissions, no further orders are necessary in the present petition. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of.
