This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed to modify the condition imposed on the petitioner while granting anticipatory bail by this Court in Paragraph No.7(b) of the order dated 20.03.2023 made in Crl.O.P.NO.6211 of 2023 filed in Crime No.4 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police.

The learned Counsel for the petitioners would submit that, this Court while granting anticipatory bail had directed that "the petitioners to report before the respondent police everyday at 10.30 a.m, until further orders". He would further submit that the petitioners are not currently residing in Chennai. Since the first petitioner is a college student and the other petitioners 2 to 5 are residing in Pondichery, they were unable to comply with the said condition and thereby seeks for modification of the condition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the petitioners were not complied with the said condition even for a single day. Hence, he opposed for the modification of the petitioners.

Taking into consideration the antecedents of the petitioner, the condition imposed by this Court is modified as follows: "the petitioners are directed to report before the respondent police at 10.30 a.m, for a period of one week and thereafter on the first Saturday at 10.30 a.m, for a period of two months and thereafter as and when required for interrogation".

However, time is extended by a further period of two weeks to execute the sureties. The other conditions imposed in the above order shall remain intact.
