..Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.11.2010 by issuing the petitioner with an order of patta in respect of premises bearing Door No.2/161,24, Veerapandi Main Road, Chinnathadagam, Coimbatore 641 018 in accordance with law, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

Heard Mr.J.Franklin, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. Admittedly, the property in question is classified as "Mandhai". Alleging that the petitioner is in possession of the same from the year 1986, seeks for the issuance of a patta. In my considered view, this cannot be a sole ground for the petitioner to come before this Court and seek for a direction to the respondents to grant patta in his favour.
