Common Prayer: Criminal Original Petitions are filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the Principal District Judge, Chengalpet, to expedite the hearing in Crl.A.Nos.78, 77 and of 2023,(pending on the file of Principal District Judge, Chengalpet) respectively and dispose of the Crl.A.No.78, 78 and 76 of 2023 (pending on the file of Principal District Judge, Chengalpet) within a stipulated time.

For Petitioner : M/s.M.A.Mathew Berchmans ( in all Crl.OPS) For Respondents : Mr.S.Udayakumar for R1 Government Advocate (Crl.Side) ( in all Crl.OPS) COMMON O R D E R The petitioner herein seeks expeditious disposal of the criminal appeal pending on the file of the Principal District Sessions Court, Chengalpet against the judgment dated 12.07.2023 passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate -II, Alandur in C.C.No.469 of 2017. Crl.A.Nos.78, 77 and 76 of 2023 respectively filed by the defacto complainant for enhancement of sentence and against aquittal of one of the accused. Being aggrieved, the police are not taken up for final hearing. These three Criminal Original Petitions filed seeking direction to expedite the hearing.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police on instructions states that the appeals are posted for arguments on 18.06.2024.

3. In view of the above fact, it is suffice to direct the lower Appellate Court to hear appeal as expeditiously as possible and pass judgment preferably within a period of two months from 18.06.2024.

4. With the above directions, these Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of.
