Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent that the right entries to be made in the Adangal Registrar (Town Register) of Jambuli Village in favour of the petitioner instead of Government land and to issue a patta in favour of petitioner after making necessary Sub Division in Old Survey No.31/1 Part present Town Survey No.38, Block No.7, Jambuli Village.

Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to rectify the mistake made in the Adangal Registrar (Town Register) of Jambuli Village and to issue patta in favour of the petitioner after making necessary Sub Division in Old Survey No.31/1 Part present Town Survey No.38, Block No.7, Jambuli Village.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the subject matter land, which is a private patta land, has been wrongly classified as "Government Land" in the Revenue records. Therefore, the petitioner seeks for rectification of the mistake in the Revenue records. Ventilating such grievance, the petitioner has already approached the second respondent by way of a representation dated 27.06.2018.

4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondents 2 & 3 to consider such request. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the respondents 2 & 3 to consider the request of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance in law, after conducting thorough enquiry.
