ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents, their subordinates or any other officials, from in any manner interfering with the day to day affairs of the petitioner's club, namely, M/s Ilaya Nila Royal Club, to play indoor and outdoor games and play cards within the premises of the said club functioning in Survey No.316/1A2, Patta No.2263, Maderahalli Village Bargur Taluk, Krishnagiri District.
2. The petitioner sent a representation on 11.02.2026 to the respondents seeking permission and protection for running the club, namely, M/s Ilaya Nila Royal Club, to play indoor and outdoor games and play cards with in the premises of the said club functioning in Survey No.316/1A2, Patta No.2263, Maderahalli Village Bargur Taluk, Krishnagiri District.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner's representation has been received by the respondents on 13.02.2026 and thereafter, the petitioner had not entered appearance before the respondent police. Unless the petitioner appears along with the supporting documents, the representation of the petitioner cannot be considered.
4. In view of the above, the following directions are issued by this court: (i) the respondents are restrained from interfering with the lawful day-today functioning of the petitioner's club. (ii) the petitioner shall appear before the respondents with supporting documents regarding registration details of the club, office bearer and members, physical features of the club and the facilities available, CCTV footage, etc. (iii) the petitioner shall ensure that no gambling or wagering is conducted in the premises under the guise of recreational activities. (iv) Thereafter, on enquiry following the directions issued by thisc court in this order, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and disposed of within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order (v) It is open to the respondent police to enter the premises and take appropriate action, in accordance with law, if there is any reasonable suspicion or information regarding illegal activities.
