Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant new electricity service connection as per clause 27(4) of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code 2004 to the petitioner's telecom infrastructure side at Sy.No.706/B/69, Sethumadai Village, Pollachi Tlauk, Coimbatore District, on the basis of the application dated 21.07.2017, without insisting on patta, in accordance with law and within a time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to grant new electricity service connection.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the application seeking for electricity connection dated 21.07.2017 has not been considered by the second respondent so far, even though the petitioner has filed all the necessary documents along with the said application.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner invited this Court's attention to the said application indicating that eleven documents were enclosed along with the said application.

5. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the application of the petitioner will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law and appropriate orders will be passed within the time stipulated by this Court.

6. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the second respondent to consider the said application of the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
