Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the Memorandum of Grounds in CRL A.416/2018 on the file of the High Court, the High Court will be pleased to suspend the sentence passed by the Fast Track Mahila Court (Sessions Judge) at Vellore in Spl.S.C.No.31 of 2015 dated 07.07.2018 and to enlarge the petitioner on bail pending disposal of the present Criminal Appeal NO.416/2018. Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the Memorandum of Grounds in CRL A.416/2018 on the file of the High Court and upon hearing the arguments of MR.R.JAYAPRAKASH, Advocate for the petitioner and of M/S.S.THANKIRA, GOVERNMENT ADVOCATE [CRL.SIDE] on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- This petition is filed to suspend the sentence passed by the Fast Track Mahila Court (Sessions Judge), Vellore in Spl.S.C.No.31 of 2015, dated 07.07.2018.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the victim girl is aged about 11 years and hence he prayed for dismissal of this petition.

4. Considering the gravity of the offence and the submissions of the Additional Public Prosecutor, I am not inclined to grant the relief sought for in this petition.
