Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records of the 2nd respondent, pertaining to the order made in D.O.No.44/2020-C2 dated 09.06.2020 in detaining the detenu under the Tamilnadu Act 14/1982 as a Goonda and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu, namely Bharathi Raja, son of Raja who is detained at the Central Prison, Vellore before this Court and set him at liberty. ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in D.O.No.44/2020-C2, dated 09.06.2020, detaining her husband as "Bootlegger" under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3182 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 27.07.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
