Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 06.03.2023 and dispose the same within a time frame manner in accordance with law.

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 06.03.2023 and dispose the same within a time frame manner in accordance with law.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the temple viz., Arulmighu Devi Sri Uthukadu Elaiyamman Temple was established in several decades back and the said temple is under the control of Tamil Nadu Government. At the festival time, the idle of the Arulmighu Devi Sri Uthukadu Elaiyammman was taken as procession in the entire village each and every street as per customs. However, the committee members are not permitted the deity procession into the petitioners street. In this regard, the petitioner made a

representation before the first respondent on 06.03.2023 and the same is pending. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the request made by the petitioner has already considered on 16.04.2023.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned government Advocate, this Writ petition is closed. Further, it is made clear that the custom of taking the idle in procession through the streets of the petitioner which was followed this year shall be followed in future. No costs.
