ORDER
This petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondent not to harass the petitioner to go for a compromise with the proposed accused.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner lodged a complaint on 07.07.2020 alleging serious allegations against the Block Development Officer, Thiruverkadu.
Under these circumstances, now the respondent is compelling the petitioner to withdraw the complaint and also compelling to compromise the issue between the Block Development Officer, Thiruverkadu and the petitioner.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the respondent never compel the petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
to go for settlement with the proposed accused. However, the petitioner did not even appear on several occasions, even though called for enquiry.
4. Considering the above submissions, the respondent is directed not to compel the petitioner to go for a compromise with the proposed accused on the complaint dated 07.07.2020. The petitioner is also directed to attend the enquiry before the respondent on his complaint dated 07.07.2020 and on appearance of the petitioner, the respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and if any cognizable offence is made out register a case or otherwise pass orders in accordance with law. In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
