Mr.P.Sathish Additional Government Pleader Order This petition has been filed for issuance of writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation dated 12/12/2021 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner had purchased a land of an extent of 1680 sq.ft comprised in S.F.No.14/5A, NO.102, Poyapakkam Village, Arakkonam Taluk, Vellore. However during the year 2004, the Government of Tamil Nadu had acquired the land in terms of the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act. Though the said land was acquired as early as in the year 2004 itself, the authorities did not pay the

compensation for the acquisition of the petitioner's land for several years and therefore, the petitioner was constrained to filed a Writ Petition No.25831/2009, whereby this Court directed the petitioner to make a representation for grant of compensation afresh and on submission of the representation to the 1st respondent, the said official had forwarded the said representation to the 2nd respondent, informing him to take necessary action on the request made by the petitioner for grant of compensation. Thereafter on several efforts, the authorities have fixed a sum of Rs.3000/- per cent equal to 435 sq.ft as compensation. However it is alleged by the petitioner that he is entitled to get a compensation for a sum of Rs.5 lakhs separately along with the value of the petitioner's land i.e., Rs.1,88,180/- and hence, in that regard, he submitted a detailed representation on 12.12.2021 to the respondents. Inspite of lapse of more than three months, the respondents did not take any steps to consider the representation. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2021 and may pass appropriate orders within a stipulated time frame as fixed by this Court. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents has no objection for said order being passed.

5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2021 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
