ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent viz., Axis Bank to de-freeze the petitioner's Bank account. 2.The petitioner is holding a Bank account with the 1st respondent-Axis Bank bearing Account No.921020041024908. The said account was freezed by the 1st respondent on the request made by the 2nd respondent Police, with regard to a transaction made in the said account, thereby depriving the petitioner from operating his account.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though a lien was marked only for a sum of Rs.8,370/-, the petitioner was unable to utilize the remaining amounts in view of freezing of his Bank account. Thus, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for a direction to de-freeze his Bank Account. 4.In view of the limited prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court directs the 1st respondent to mark a lien over the petitioner's Bank account to the

tune of Rs.8,370/- and the petitioner is permitted to operate his account for the remaining amounts available in his Bank account. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition (criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
