Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the relief of issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in ref. No.CME/A1/2157/14/MEE dated 20.06.2015 and to quash the above said proceedings and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 2 to forthwith promote the petitioner as Deputy chief Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical).

ORDER

Seeking to quash the impugned order dated 20.06.2015 passed by the 2nd respondent appointing Mr.Shri.V.Thuraipandian, Senior Deputy Materials Manager, Chennai Port Trust, as Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer in Mechanical Discipline in Chennai Port Trust and for a consequential direction to the 2nd respondent to forthwith promote him as Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. Though the impugned order of appointment is sought to be quashed, during the course of hearing, the learned counsel for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has submitted a representation to the 1st respondent and he would be satisfied if a direction is issued to consider his representation dated 29.06.2015 and dispose of the same within a time frame to be fixed by this court.

3. No notice is ordered to the respondents as the order which is to be passed will not in any manner be prejudicial to the interests of the respondents.

4. Considering the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this court directs the 1st respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 29.06.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders on the same within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and ultimately if the 1st respondent concludes to pass orders favourably to the petitioner, he shall also hear the 3rd respondent before passing such order and then pass appropriate orders. No costs. Consequently, connected MPs are closed.
