The case in Cr.No.63 of 2023 was registered on 21.01.2023 on the complaint that the second respondent had collected money promising exorbitant interest, but failed to repay it. Now, one of the investors seeks to expedite the trial and file final report.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that initially the case for cheating registered in Cr.No.16 of 2022 and investigation has taken up. Nearly, 411 depositors has given complaint and the petitioner herein is one such complainant and his complaint has registered in Cr.No.63 of 2023 on 21.01.2023. Preliminary charge sheet already been filed on 08.11.2022 and same is taken on file in C.C.No.7 of 2022 on the file of TANPID Court, Chennai. Since the magnitude of crime and number of innocent victims crosses more than 4000, reasonable time may be granted to complete the investigation.

3. Taking note of the aforesaid submissions, Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent to complete the investigation as early as possible and file the supplementary final report for the trial court to proceed further. .
