ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the final report in C.C.No.45 of 2021 pending on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Egmore, Chennai.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police and perused the final report and other materials collected by the prosecution.
3. A perusal of the final report shows that the petitioner under the pretext of seeking some help, called the defacto complainant and her friend to his house wherein, he was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
watching some porn videos enabling others to view the same and thereby, the petitioner has been slapped with the above charges.
4. In view of the nature of allegation, this Court is not inclined to quash the final report.
5. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks indulgence of this Court to dispense with the personal appearance of the petitioner by considering his age.
6. Accordingly, the presence of the petitioner shall be dispensed with before the trial Court except for receiving the copies, initial questioning, questioning under Section 313 of Cr.P.C and any other date fixed by the trial Court and at the time of passing judgment.
7. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
