O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus Mandamus directing the respondent to effect the electricity connection for the borewell in S.F.No. 124/ 13 at Devanampalayam Village, Kinathukadavu Taluk, Coimbatore District, by considering the petitioners representation dated 26.10.2018.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner owns agricultural lands in S.F.Nos.123/12, 16, 7 and 124/13, 20, 4 at Devanampalayam Village, Kinathukadavu Taluk, Coimbatore District and for the irrigation purpose, the petitioner is using the common well which has the electricity service connection. The petitioner has also applied for the separate service connection for the borewell in S.F.No.124/13 to the respondent and after obtaining seniority of the said application, the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

directed the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- for the service connection. The petitioner has also paid the said sum and the receipt was also issued in that regard, however till date, the respondent did not take any steps to effect the electricity connection for the said bore well, inspite of representation of the petitioner dated 26.10.2018 to effect the electricity connection. Since no action was taken on the representation of the petitioner, the present petition has been filed.

3.Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2018 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame fixed by this Court. 4.The learned Government Advocate has no objection for said order being passed.

5.In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2018 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
