Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to provide permission to conduct village folk and dance and other cultural programs on 12.05.2022 at Arulmigu Sri Maha Sakthi Mariamman Temple premises existing at Karattur Village, Sathyamangalam Taluk, Erode District. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to issue direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.04.2022.

2. Subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the respondents have considered the representation of the petitioner and passed the rejection order. However, on perusal of the said rejection order, it reveals that the reasons stated therein is found to be unsatisfactory. The festival is scheduled to be held on 12.05.2022. Being unsatisfied with the said order, this Court is inclined to set aside the aforesaid rejection order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Accordingly, the order dated 05.05.2022 issued by the respondent police is hereby set aside. Therefore, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation again and pass fresh order in accordance with law, after conducting a preliminary enquiry.

3. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition disposed of. No costs.
